IDIOMS IN THE SPEECH OF FOREIGN STUDENTS: ERRORS, TRANSFORMATIONS, AND CREATIVE REINTERPRETATION
The article examines the features of the functioning of phraseological units in the speech of foreign language students studying Russian. Typical errors in the use of phraseological units, their semantic and structural transformations, as well as cases of creative reinterpretation of stable expressions, are analyzed. Examples of students' oral and written speech served as research material. It has been established that deviations from the norm do not always indicate insufficient language competence, but can reflect the processes of interference, cognitive adaptation, and creative language acquisition. The research results are of great importance for the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
