The article presents a four-stage pedagogical technology for developing pre-service primary school teachers’ AI-based pedagogical competence and its core element – a six-step pedagogical decision algorithm. The content of each step, the validity of a decision not to use AI in certain cases, and the procedure for applying the algorithm in practical classes are substantiated.
