В данной статье всесторонне анализируются основные факторы, влияющие на развитие коммуникативной компетенции на английском языке у студентов филологических направлений. В исследовании рассматриваются теоретические основы коммуникативной компетенции, этапы её формирования, а также структурные компоненты на основе современных лингводидактических подходов. Особое внимание уделяется взаимосвязи лингвистической, социолингвистической, дискурсивной и стратегической компетенций и их роли в развитии речевой деятельности студентов. Кроме того, в статье анализируется значение педагогических, психологических, социокультурных и технологических факторов в процессе обучения иностранному языку. Подчеркивается, что использование коммуникативного подхода, интерактивных методов обучения, ролевых игр, дискуссий и аутентичных материалов способствует развитию у студентов навыков самостоятельного мышления, свободного владения языком и эффективного участия в реальных коммуникативных ситуациях. Результаты исследования показывают, что комплексное применение данных факторов играет важную роль в формировании и развитии коммуникативной компетенции студентов-филологов.

This article examines the key factors influencing the development of communicative competence in English among students majoring in philology. The study explores the theoretical foundations of communicative competence, its stages of development, and its structural components based on contemporary linguistic and didactic approaches. In particular, the interrelation between linguistic, sociolinguistic, discourse, and strategic competences is analyzed, highlighting their role in shaping students’ communicative abilities. Furthermore, the paper investigates the significance of pedagogical, psychological, socio-cultural, and technological factors in the process of foreign language teaching. It emphasizes that the use of communicative approaches, interactive teaching methods, role plays, discussions, and authentic materials contributes to the development of students’ independent thinking, fluency, and ability to participate effectively in real-life communicative situations. The findings of the study demonstrate that the integrated application of these factors plays a crucial role in enhancing the communicative competence of philology students. The research highlights the importance of creating a supportive learning environment that fosters active participation and intercultural awareness in language learning.
