Abstract

Ushbu tezisda Charlz Dikkensning “Hard Times” hamda Abdulhamid Cho‘lponning “Kecha va kunduz” romanlarida ijtimoiy muhit, inson taqdiri, ma’naviy inqiroz va jamiyatdagi adolatsizliklarning badiiy talqini qiyosiy tahlil qilinadi. Har ikki asarda ham yozuvchilar o‘z davrining muhim ijtimoiy muammolarini inson ruhiyati, axloqiy tanlov va shaxs erkinligi masalalari bilan bog‘liq holda yoritgan. Tadqiqotda ingliz va o‘zbek realizmiga xos tasvir usullari, qahramonlar xarakteri hamda jamiyat va shaxs munosabatlarining umumiy va farqli jihatlari ochib beriladi.

This thesis presents a comparative analysis of the artistic interpretation of the social environment, human destiny, spiritual crisis, and social injustice in Charles Dickens’s *Hard Times* and Abdulhamid Cholpon’s *Night and Day*. In both works, the writers illuminate the major social problems of their time in connection with human psychology, moral choice, and personal freedom. The study reveals the common and distinctive features of the descriptive methods characteristic of English and Uzbek realism, the characters’ personalities, and the relationship between society and the individual.
