Abstract

Mazkur maqolada Axsikentning qadimgi Farg‘ona (Davan) davlatining siyosiy, iqtisodiy va madaniy markazi sifatidagi o‘rni yoritiladi. Xitoy, arab, fors va turkiy manbalar asosida shaharning tarixi, nomlanishi hamda davlatchilik tizimidagi ahamiyati tahlil qilinadi. Shuningdek, Axsikentda olib borilgan arxeologik tadqiqotlar natijalari, olimlarning ilmiy qarashlari va shaharning Farg‘ona vodiysi tarixidagi tutgan o‘rni ochib beriladi.

В данной статье рассматривается роль Аксикента как политического, экономического и культурного центра древнего государства Фергана (Давань). На основе китайских, арабских, персидских и тюркских источников анализируются история города, его наименования и значение в системе государственности. Также освещаются результаты археологических исследований, проведённых в Аксикенте, научные взгляды исследователей и место города в истории Ферганской долины.

AKHSIKENT CIVILIZATION AND THE HISTORY OF STATEHOOD: A STUDY OF THE ANCIENT CAPITAL OF FERGHANA BASED ON SOURCE STUDIES AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH

This article examines the role of Akhsikent as the political, economic, and cultural center of the ancient state of Ferghana (Davan). Based on Chinese, Arabic, Persian, and Turkic sources, the history of the city, its various names, and its significance within the system of statehood are analyzed. The article also highlights the results of archaeological investigations conducted in Akhsikent, the scholarly views of researchers, and the city's place in the history of the Ferghana Valley.
